Illustration Sizes, and File Formats

I currently offer three different versions of almost every illustration:

1. Small TIFF files (approximately a half-page in size; A5 or 6” × 4”)
2. Large TIFF files (approximately a full-page in size; A4 or 8.5” × 11”)
3. Vector EPS files (various sizes, but vector files can be sized up or down with no resolution loss)

Pricing

Prices range (depending, for example, on the complexity of a given illustration), but briefly here is what you can expect:

1. Small TIFF files: $15—$40
2. Large TIFF files: $50—$100
3. Vector EPS files: $250 and up

Sales Tax

As a Canadian company, I only charge tax to Canadian customers (HST, or QST, depending on your province). Sorry, eh!

Payments

Secure credit card payments are accepted using PayPal™ (you can use your credit card, even without a PayPal account).

Licenses

You are purchasing a time-limited, nonexclusive LICENSE to use any illustration as part of a design project (this does not constitute a transfer of copyright). You may use the illustrations as often as you like, for the duration of ONE (1) YEAR, in one or more commercial or personal projects (print, web banners, bus shelter ads, etc…). If you need a custom license, please contact me.

DO’s and DON’T’s

Of course I can’t anticipate every way someone may want to use these illustrations, but for the most part the lists below outline what you can and cannot do. If you have any questions, or if your application is not listed below, please feel free to contact me with your questions and I’ll be very happy to help you.

You may:

• Use the illustration in a commercial project, such as 1) a magazine article (“Editorial Illustration”), 2) an advertisement campaign, 3) as artwork for a book (cover or interior; there are limitations on e-books, see below), or 4) as part of some product packaging;
• Use the illustration in a corporate Annual Report;
• Crop the illustration to fit your layout;
• Use the illustration in a personal-use project, like scrap-booking.

You may not:

• Claim authorship of the illustration.
• Use the illustration as a logo, or as part of a logo;
• Use the illustration as the primary element of merchandise intended for resale (i.e.: graphic t-shirts, art prints, greeting cards, etc…);
• Redistribute the illustration, or use the illustration in a way that allows others to extract it and redistribute it;
• Sell the illustration;
• Alter or edit any part of the illustration (except to crop it, if necessary);

It would also be very kind of you to include, when possible, a credit such as: “Illustration by Luc Latulippe” when using the illustration.

Your privacy is very important to me. I will not sell or redistribute your personal information. I also do not collect any credit card information; transactions are all handled securely via PayPal™.
