How do I buy an illustration?
What about copyright? And file formats?

You have questions, I have answers.

FAQ

Do I need an account to buy illustrations?

No. But creating an account here lets you track and re-download previous purchases for up to 30 days. You can create an account here.

What file types do you offer?

I offer two types of files: 1) TIFF files (300 dpi), and 2) EPS vector files. Both are in CMYK format.

What method of payment do you accept?

You can pay securely and safely with your credit card via PayPal.

How does it work?

Search for the illustration you need, click the thumbnail, and add the file type you need to your cart. You can edit or delete items in your cart afterwards. Then go to the Checkout page make your payment. Your illustration is ready to download immediately after your payment has been processed. That’s it!

Do you have a full explanation of your Terms & Conditions?

Yes, you can read them here.

I just bought one of your illustrations. How do I open it?

You may open the illustration file using image editing software such Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop. You can also place the illustration immediately into an InDesign layout.

Remember if you open an EPS file in Photoshop, the application will automatically rasterize it and eliminate the vector paths in the file. It may also convert it to another colour model. If you need to resize an EPS file you should open it in Adobe Illustrator or InDesign; this ensures the paths will remain intact.

Who owns the copyright on these illustrations?

I do, forever and ever amen.

But I paid you!

Yes, and thank you. But you have bought a license to use the illustration, not the illustration itself nor its copyright. This license grants you the permission to use these illustrations in your design projects, in accordance with my terms and conditions.
