Expression Engine™ powers the site, allowing the client great control over the addition or deletion of new talent profiles, photos, blog entries, and even new pages. Services included hosting, domain registration, design, art direction, and CMS training.

Jupiter Project

The Jupiter Project is a group of Vancouver illustrators I co-founded in 2003. We host and participate in art shows with the simple goal of featuring illustration as art, and connecting with other illustrators in the area. Our collective currently consists of Mia Hansen, Mark ‘Atomos’ Pilon, Rod Filbrandt, Bonni Reid, Lori Joy Smith, Doug Fraser, and me, Mr Dressup.

DJ Nick Bertossi

Nick’s old site was a plain-jane Blogspot template which just wasn’t working for him: it was limited, had no branding, couldn’t host large files, and did nothing to reflect his style and energy. It worked against him as a marketing tool, despite the fact that he’s a rising star on the DJ scene and is very active in promoting himself and his work.

I turned this around completely and built him a brand new site that does everything his old one couldn’t, including adding a podcast. http://www.djbertossi.com

My Trainer Says…

Personal Trainer (and my partner!) Doug Leavers needed a website to market his training business and connect with new and existing clients. He’s not fond of spending too much time on the computer, so a great solution was to use Tumblr as a simple CMS. Feedburner automatically converts his blog entries into a simple email newsletter. To help him gather data from prospective new clients, we used Google Docs to create a web-form, which automatically enters information into a spreadsheet. Easy!
